1. Accepting these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Nivritee (nivritee.com), founded and operated by Amit Goel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (“Nivritee”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use Nivritee.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data and forms part of these terms.
2. Who may use Nivritee
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement where you live. You may use Nivritee for your own household’s planning. You may not use it to provide paid advice or services to other people.
3. What Nivritee is
Nivritee is a free, self-serve financial independence planning tool. You enter your circumstances; it projects your household’s money year by year under assumptions you can see and change, and shows readings such as an outcome band, scores, a suggested split of your savings, and how your listed investments have performed against the return your plan assumes. It also includes Niv, an automated assistant.
There is no paid tier today. If we ever introduce paid features, we will say so clearly before you are charged for anything, and nothing you already use will be charged for without your agreement.
4. Not financial advice
Nivritee is a planning tool for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Consult a licensed professional before making financial decisions. All figures are projected estimates, not predictions.
- Nivritee is not a licensed or registered financial adviser, investment adviser, broker, tax agent or lawyer in any country.
- Nothing in the service is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, fund, deposit, insurance policy or other product. We do not sell products and we are not paid by anyone who does.
- The service does not know your full circumstances. It does not model tax, and the readings it gives are general in nature.
- Any decision you make, and its consequences, are yours. Where a decision matters, speak to a qualified professional who can take your whole situation into account.
5. Projections are estimates
Every figure Nivritee shows is a projected estimate under stated assumptions — inflation, returns, income growth, life expectancy and others — not a prediction or a promise. Real returns, prices, exchange rates, laws and lives differ from any assumption, and small differences compound over decades.
Some reference figures, including benchmark ranges and several return and rate assumptions, are derived or judged rather than measured, and the app says so where that is the case. Stress tests illustrate how a plan might respond to a difficult period; they are not forecasts of one.
6. Niv, the assistant
Niv is an automated assistant powered by a third-party AI model. She is designed to explain your figures and to re-run the projection rather than calculate on her own, but she can still misunderstand a question or say something wrong. Treat her replies as explanation, not advice, and check anything important against the figures in your plan. A change she suggests is applied only if you press the button to apply it.
7. Prices and exchange rates
Prices for listed investments and currency exchange rates come from third-party sources and are updated on a schedule, usually once per trading day. They may be delayed, incomplete, missing or wrong. Where no price is available, a holding is shown at what you paid, and the app says so. Nivritee is not a trading platform, and its figures must not be relied on for trading, valuation, tax or accounting purposes.
8. Your account
- You sign in with Google or with an email address and password. Your email address must be verified before you can use the app.
- Keep your sign-in details secure and do not share them. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at amit@penome.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
- One person, one account. Each account has one plan.
- Give accurate account information and keep your email address working.
9. Your information and its accuracy
What you enter remains yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you and for the people you choose to share with, as the Privacy Policy describes.
The projections are only as good as what goes into them. If a figure is wrong, missing or out of date, every result built on it is too. Keeping your plan accurate is your responsibility.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or use Nivritee to help anyone else do so;
- access another person’s account or data without their permission, or impersonate anyone;
- scrape, copy or harvest the service or its data by automated means, or use it to build a competing product;
- probe, attack or overload the service, get around its security or rate limits, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows;
- send invitations as spam, or to people who have not agreed to hear from you;
- use Niv to produce content unrelated to your plan, or try to make her misbehave.
12. Availability and changes to the service
Nivritee is provided free of charge and as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any particular time. We may change, add or remove features, change the assumptions and reference data behind the figures, or stop providing the service. If we intend to shut the service down, we will give you reasonable notice so that you can keep what you need.
13. Intellectual property
The service — its software, design, text, illustrations, names and logos — belongs to Nivritee or its licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for your own planning while you have an account. They do not give you any other right to it.
14. Third-party services and data
Nivritee relies on outside services for hosting, sign-in, email, its AI assistant, and prices and exchange rates. They are listed in the Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for their availability or accuracy, and your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google’s terms.
15. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, Nivritee is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty that it is accurate, complete, fit for a particular purpose or suited to your circumstances. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
16. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for any financial, investment, tax or other decision you make, or for any loss that follows from relying on a projection, reading, price, exchange rate or anything Niv says;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, savings, opportunity or data;
- because the service is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to 100 US dollars.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
17. Indemnity
If you break these terms or the law in using Nivritee — for example by sharing another person’s details without the right to, or by misusing the service — and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from that claim, to the extent the law allows.
18. Ending your use
You can stop using Nivritee at any time. Delete my account, in the app, permanently deletes your account and your data as the Privacy Policy describes.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service or puts other people or the service at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you the chance to respond.
The sections on advice, projections, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law continue after your account ends.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and tell you by email or in the app before a material change takes effect. If you keep using Nivritee after that, you accept the updated terms; if you do not accept them, you can delete your account.
20. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. This does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
