Why does it say my figures are out of date?
Because you changed something the projection reads since you last generated the plan. Press Re-generate to bring the plan up to date. Renaming rows or price moves never trigger it.
The banner These figures are out of date. appears when you have changed a figure the projection reads since the plan was last generated. Press Re-generate plan now in the banner, or Re-generate my plan beside the page heading, and the plan is run again from what you have entered. When nothing has changed, the heading says Plan is up to date. instead.
What makes a plan out of date
Nivritee keeps a fingerprint of everything the projection reads, taken at the moment you generate. It compares that with your plan as it is now. Any change to a figure, a rate, an age, a timing or a country counts. These do not:
- Renaming a row, naming a child, or editing notes.
- Changing the order of rows.
- Typing a figure and then typing the old one back.
- Editing the names of the people on your plan in Family & sharing.
- Market prices or exchange rates moving — they never make a plan out of date, though they do move figures. See Why did my figures change when I changed nothing?
Where you see it
- The banner, on every page, with its own button.
- The button beside the page heading: Re-generate my plan while out of date, or Plan is up to date. when it is not.
- A dot labelled Out of date beside Overview in the rail, and on the menu button that opens the rail on a phone.
- Finish the edits you are making — your plan saves as you type.
- Press Re-generate my plan (or Re-generate plan now in the banner).
- The plan is recorded as generated from what is entered now, and the readings stored with it, such as the financial freedom index, are brought up to date.
See this in your own plan.
