What is “What changed since your last visit”?
A notification in the bell, at most once a day, saying how much everything you hold moved since you last looked — split into market prices, exchange rates and changes you made.
When you open your plan on a new day, Nivritee compares everything you hold — every savings and investment row and every listed holding — with what it was on the last day you looked. If it moved by at least 1%, a notification arrives in the bell under Updates saying by how much, and splitting the change into three parts that always add up to the whole.
- market prices — your listed holdings revalued at the latest prices.
- exchange rates — money held in other currencies, converted at today’s rates instead of the earlier ones.
- changes you made — everything else: rows you added, edited or removed, a holding bought or sold.
What it leaves out, and why
- Your home. It is not money anybody draws on, and a house would swamp every other movement.
- Small moves. Under 1% of what you hold is not news.
- Your first visit. There is nothing to compare with until the next day.
- A plan whose currency changed in between: the two totals would not be in the same money.
“Today” is your own calendar day, from your device’s time zone, so a late-evening visit counts on the right day. If some money was in a currency with no rate on one of the two days, its movement is counted under changes you made rather than guessed.
Where it appears
Only in the app. It is a reading of your money, so it is never emailed and nobody at Nivritee can see it. The notification carries a See your plan button. On a couple’s plan, each person’s view reads their own share of each row, and Family reads both.
