What does Investment Performance show?
How the money you already hold is doing — measured against the return your own plan assumes, not an index — plus six readings of how it is arranged and your plan at that return.
Investment Performance shows how your money is doing — its heading — measured against the return your own plan assumes rather than against a market index. It is the page that tells you whether the assumption your whole projection rests on is holding up. Open it from the rail as Investment Performance.

The top of the page for the illustrative household: an annual return of 12.7% against the 11.0% the plan assumes, everything held on the right with the share priced daily, four chips, and what they put in against what markets added.
Illustrative figures — not anybody’s real plan.
What is on the page, from the top
- The headline: your annual return on priced holdings beside your plan’s assumed return, and Everything you hold on the right. Four chips follow — Priced holdings, Gain on what you put in, Today and Held for — then a bar splitting what you put in from what markets added.
- What would move this: a computed list of pointers, largest amount first, beside Niv’s read of the same list.
- Your plan at your actual return: your plan re-run at the return you have actually earned, once there is enough history.
- A chart of what your priced holdings were worth against what you put in.
- How the money is arranged: a score out of 100 over six readings.
- What you hold, by type and Where it is held: cards by kind of investment and by market.
- Every investment, one row each: a sortable table with a Valued at column.
Two kinds of money
Listed holdings carry a daily price and a ledger, so they carry a return. Deposits and single figures carry a value only, and the page says which is which. See priced and value-only money.
Before you have listed anything
The page needs a generated plan. With no listed holdings it still shows everything you hold, but the return reads as a dash with nothing priced daily yet, most readings say Not readable yet, and a line under the table offers List your holdings under Investments. Nothing is broken; there is simply no price to read a return from yet.
How fresh it is
A line under the headline says Prices as of a date and exchange rates as of a date. The reading is recalculated when you save your plan, overnight after prices are revalued, and when you open the page if prices, rates or your plan have moved since. See how often prices are updated.
See this in your own plan.
