Can I track my partner’s investments too?

Yes. On a couple’s plan every holding belongs to you, to your partner, or to both of you in a split you choose, and the Portfolio Tracker reads yours, theirs and the family’s.

Yes. Once your partner is on the plan, each holding says whose it is: yours, your partner’s, or owned by you both. The plan switcher then gives three readings of the same money — your plan, your partner’s and the Family plan — and yours plus your partner’s adds up to the family’s, on the Portfolio Tracker as on every other page.

Adding their holdings

  1. Add your partner under Family Finance or in You & your assumptions, if you have not already.
  2. Switch to your partner’s view in the plan switcher at the top.
  3. Open Investments and add the holding there. A holding added in your partner’s view is theirs.
  4. For something you own together, tick Owned by you and … on its row and set the split; it is half each unless you change it.

If your partner joins with their own login, they can add and edit their own holdings themselves — or leave it to you, if they let you edit their side. Each of you chooses whether the other may view or edit your own side, at any time, in Family Finance.

An illustrative household: Two adults, 38 and 36, two children, earning in Dubai and settling in Pune. One adult earns; the other does not earn today but holds money of their own. Yours + your partner’s = the family plan, to the rupee.

The illustrative household’s three views. One adult earns; the other does not earn today but holds money of their own, including investments in their own name.

  • Your plan — your holdings, and your part of anything owned together.
  • Your partner’s plan — theirs.
  • Family plan — both together, read-only.

Illustrative figures — not anybody’s real plan.

What each view shows

  • In your view and your partner’s, the Portfolio Tracker reads that person’s holdings and their part of joint ones.
  • In Family, every holding is listed with a line saying whose it is.
  • Removing a jointly owned holding removes it for both of you, so the app asks first.
  • If you ever stop planning together, joint holdings are split by your shares.

See this in your own plan.
