What goes in the market investments box if I have listed holdings?

Only what you have not listed. The Not listed figure means the rest of your shares, funds and bonds; Nivritee counts listed and not listed together, and tells you when both hold money.

Anything in shares, funds, ETFs or bonds that you have not listed as a holding. Market investments has two halves: Listed holdings, priced at every close, and Not listed, one figure per kind. Your plan counts both, added together. The top of the section shows In this section, Listed as holdings and Not listed so you can see the split.

When you start listing

Most people begin with one typed figure for all their investments. When you list a fund that was part of that figure, the same money is now in both halves. Nivritee cannot know whether it was, so it says the sum out loud instead of guessing:

  • Both are counted. — followed by what is listed, what is typed, and the total.
  • A button, Reduce by a named amount, takes the typed figure down by what you have just listed, largest row first. It never takes a figure below zero, and a listed bond never reduces an equities box.
  • The notice cannot be dismissed. It goes away by itself when the typed figure reaches zero or no longer overlaps.
