Is my conversation with Niv private?
Yes. Nobody at Nivritee can read it, your partner and viewers cannot see it, and you can delete it. A summary of your plan goes to Anthropic so she can answer; nothing is used to train models.
Your conversation with Niv is stored against your account so it follows you between devices, and it is yours alone. Nobody at Nivritee opens it: there is no screen that displays a plan, a holding or a conversation, because one was never built.

Where it goes when she answers
Niv runs on Anthropic's Claude model. When she answers you, makes a remark as you open a section or writes her short reading on a page, our server — never your browser — sends Anthropic a summary of your plan (figures, totals, and the names and relationships of family members you entered), your first name, the notes she keeps about you and the conversation so far. It is sent under Anthropic's commercial API terms, and nothing is used to train models.
Each request answers one person. The plan she discusses is the one you are looking at; there is no way for a question of yours to reach anybody else's plan, and your figures are never pooled with anyone else's.
What happens to what you type
- Encrypted in transit and at rest. TLS everywhere, AES-256 at rest.
- Never seen by a person. There is no internal tool that displays your finances, because we did not build one.
- Never sold, never pooled. Used to compute your plan and nothing else.
- Yours to delete. A hard delete, not a flag.

Deleting it
- In Niv's panel, press What I remember.
- Press Delete our conversation to remove the stored conversation.
- Press Forget beside any note, or Forget everything, to remove what she remembers.
Deleting your account removes your conversation and her notes along with everything else.
