Action Items, Niv and your account

Fixing what is still an estimate, asking Niv, planning with a partner, sharing your plan, notifications and your account.

23 questions

  1. What are Action Items?Action Items is the page that lists the parts of your plan that are still an estimate, why each one was flagged, and the one thing to do about it.
  2. What is plan health?Plan health says how much of your plan is still unexamined — On track, Attention needed or At risk — based on the fixes and commitments still open. It is not your verdict.
  3. How do I fix an action item?Press the button on the item: Break this down opens a short form of separate lines; Open takes you to the section that holds the figure. Save, and the item clears.
  4. What is a commitment?A commitment is a target and a date you set yourself — spend less, save more, or work a year longer — which your plan checks the next time you update that figure.
  5. Why does Nivritee ask me questions under "Tell us more"?Each question tunes the typical ranges your figures are compared against — your city, your home, household help, your lifestyle. One at a time, and Not now costs nothing.
  6. A figure was flagged but it is right. What do I do?Check it against a recent statement. If it really is right, dismiss the item — it counts as dealt with and does not come back. Answering the city question can also sharpen the comparison.
  7. What can Niv do?Niv explains your plan, runs what-ifs and stress tests on your real projection, and offers one-press changes to your ages and assumptions. She never calculates by herself and never changes your plan.
  8. What does Niv remember about me?Short notes she chose to keep, the suggestions you applied, and your conversation. Open What I remember in her panel to read all of it and forget any of it.
  9. How do I apply a suggestion from Niv?When Niv suggests changing one of your ages or assumptions, press Apply suggestion under her answer. The value is set and you are taken to You & your assumptions to see it.
  10. Is my conversation with Niv private?Yes. Nobody at Nivritee can read it, your partner and viewers cannot see it, and you can delete it. A summary of your plan goes to Anthropic so she can answer; nothing is used to train models.
  11. How do I add my partner to my plan?Add them under Family & sharing (+ Add a person, then Spouse or partner) or in You & your assumptions. Give an email to invite them to plan together with their own sign-in.
  12. How do I share my plan with someone? In Family & sharing, press + Add a person, choose who they are, enter their email and choose what they see. They get a link valid for 14 days and can only ever look.
  13. What can somebody I share my plan with see?Exactly what you switch on: per plan, six sections and Results. They never edit, never see your Action Items or your conversations with Niv, and cannot use Niv on your plan.
  14. Why is an invitation waiting for my partner's approval?Once a partner has joined, the plan is both of yours: nobody new sees it, and nobody sees more of it, until both of you agree. Seeing less never needs approval.
  15. What happens when a partner joins, or when we stop planning together?Joining asks how to set up your side — keep, start empty, replace with your own plan, or add it. Stopping planning together gives each of you your side as a plan of your own.
  16. What goes in my notifications? The bell holds invitations and approvals waiting on you, plus updates: sharing news, your partner's edits, what changed since your last visit, and one-time explanations.
  17. What emails does Nivritee send?Account and security emails, a welcome, a plan-ready note, a one-off reminder, an optional Action Items digest, sharing emails and occasional product news. None ever contains a figure from your plan.
  18. How do I open a plan someone shared with me?Open the invitation link and sign in with the address it was sent to, then Accept. Afterwards the plan is under Shared with me in the plan menu and on Your plans.
  19. What happens when two people edit the plan at once? Both sets of changes are kept. Only when you both changed the same figure to different values are you asked to choose: Keep mine or Keep theirs.
  20. How do I change my name or picture?Change your name under Display name in Your profile. Your picture comes from your Google account, or your initials if there is none — it cannot be uploaded.
  21. How do I change my password or the way I sign in?In Your profile, under Ways to sign in: Change password (needs your current one), Set a password if you use Google, or Connect Google. It is always one account.
  22. How do I turn off emails?Untick "Tell me when there is something new worth looking at" under Emails about your plan in Your profile. Account, security and sharing emails cannot be turned off.
  23. How do I delete my account? In Your profile, press Delete my account…, read what will go, type DELETE and press Delete my account permanently. It is a hard delete and cannot be undone.
