How do I delete my account?
In Your profile, press Delete my account…, read what will go, type DELETE and press Delete my account permanently. It is a hard delete and cannot be undone.
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app. It is a hard delete: your data is removed, not hidden behind a flag, and nothing brings it back. Before anything happens, the app shows you exactly what will go.
Deleting it
- Open the account menu from your picture, top right, and choose Your profile.
- Under Delete your account, press Delete my account….
- Read the list under "This deletes, permanently:" — and, if you share a plan, "And keeps:".
- Type DELETE in the box.
- Press Delete my account permanently. You are signed out. Or press Keep my account to back out.
What goes
- Your plan and every figure in it, with its history.
- Your listed investments and every transaction recorded against them.
- Your conversation with Niv, and everything she remembers about you.
- Your sign-in, so your email address can no longer sign in to this account.
- Your access to plans other people shared with you.
On a plan of your own, everyone you shared it with loses access and is told. On a plan you share with a partner, viewers your partner had agreed to keep their access to what remains; the rest lose it and are told. The list shows only what applies to you.
If you plan together with a partner
Your side of the plan goes, with your listed investments on it. Your partner keeps the rest — as a plan of their own, or the plan itself — with everything you held together becoming theirs. The "And keeps:" list says which, by name.
What happens to what you type
- Encrypted in transit and at rest. TLS everywhere, AES-256 at rest.
- Never seen by a person. There is no internal tool that displays your finances, because we did not build one.
- Never sold, never pooled. Used to compute your plan and nothing else.
- Yours to delete. A hard delete, not a flag.
"What happens to what you type", as the site draws it — the last line: yours to delete, a hard delete, not a flag.
Illustrative figures — not anybody’s real plan.
